How To Use Tips
When selecting vegetable starts for your garden, pick short, compact, well- developed plants. Absolutely avoid seedlings with fewer than two complete sets of leaves. If planting seeds directly in the garden, don't plant them too early. If the soil is too cool, seeds won't germinate properly if at all.
Tomato blooms have both male and female pollen. If you're having trouble getting much fruit, have no bees, and your plants are in an area protected from the wind, try shaking or tapping the bush.
