Product Description
Dr. Q's Blood Meal (13-0-0) is an excellent source of 100% organic, long-lasting nitrogen. It's the fertilizer of choice for many organic gardeners, and is excellent for vegetable gardens, flower gardens, individual shrubs and plants. Blood meal is a natural source of nitrogen that aids in plant growth and produces deep green foliage. Specific instructions on when to apply, how to apply and how much to use are found on the back of each bag.
How To Use Tips
Plants fed with "Simple" fertilizers like blood meal, bone meal, superphosphate and cottonseed meal, frequently benefit from addition of micronutrient supplements to their diets. The micronutrients iron and zinc are especially important. While these supplements are not organic, they are usually derived from natural mined minerals and are not chemically formed. If your plants are doing well without the supplements, don't worry about it. Many soils naturally contain sufficient amounts of trace elements and micro nutrients. If you watch them closely, they will tell you when they need help. Blood meal is a natural animal repellent!! Scatter around garden plants as needed to help protect them from rabbits, chipmunks and other pesky critters!
