Osmocote Smart Release 19-6-12 is an ideal plant food to use when planting new container or bedding plants. The semi-permeable capsules allow continuous release of nutrients for up to 4 months. One jar will feed 95 plants. Only Osmocote has the built-in characteristics that allow it to be used right under the root ball of most transplants. What The Primary Nutrients do:
Plants need Nitrogen to produce and maintain healthy leaves. Phosphorus promotes strong root growth and flower formation. Potash (potassium) is needed for strong plant structure and resistance to summer and winter stress.

Apply recommended amount of Osmocote in the bottom of the planting hole or pot (put a little dirt in so the capsules won't fall out of the drainage hole). Set the plant gently on top of the fertilizer capsules. Fill the hole or pot with soil mixture and water thoroughly.
