How to use:

Decoration:
The Terracotta red of Hydroton makes this a perfect for decoration simply lay a small layer of Hydroton over the soil to enhance the presentation of any potted plant. You can even use Hydroton to mulch garden beds for a startling new effect. It will help retain water, preventing the soil from drying out.

Aeration:
With Hydroton’s Porous and stable structure, as well with its ability to absorb water, slowly release moisture by capillary action aids the aeration of soil and compost. It’s perfect for orchids and smaller plants requiring a light aerated substrate.

Drainage/Water storage:
Use Hydroton in the base of potted planters or boxes to improve drainage. Hydroton will store the water and release the required amount of water needed, thus conserving precious water and minimizing the waste of this precious element.

Hydroponics/Water-culture:
Hydroton can be used in all forms of soil less gardening, due to its inert structure and neutral pH.
