Ordering Process
    Secure Server (Online Ordering)
  • When choosing this method your shopping cart is displayed on the checkout screen where you will enter billing, shipping and payment information.
  • All information is transmitted in the most secure method available. This is the standard for secure ordering on the Internet.
  • When you click on the "Submit Order" button, all information on this page is sent to us. You will be sent automatically to an order confirmation page that will display a unique order confirmation number you may use in contacting us about your order.
  • An E-mail will be sent to you as confirmation of your order. Please check the items ordered to make sure the information is correct. Contact us immediately if anything is wrong or you wish to make a change. E-mail is the best way. You may also call us at 702-568-7000 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
  • Certain orders that require more than one shipping container, or those with large dimensions, may require additional freight. If this occurs, you will be notified with the exact UPS freight rate and we will ask for approval before shipping your order.
  • All billing is done through Star Nursery, Inc. That is the billing name you will see on your credit card statement.
  • All shipping is done from the Star Nursery, Inc. facility in Henderson, NV.
  • We plan to ship most orders within 24 hours of receipt on regular business days. Our hours of operation are 8 AM to 5 PM, Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. We are closed most major holidays.
  • We will receive orders placed after 5 PM Pacific Time on business days, or on weekends or holidays, at 8 AM the next business day.
  • If we can’t ship your order within 48 hours of receipt during normal business days, we will contact you with an explanation and ask for guidance.
  • Once an order is shipped, we will send you an E-mail confirmation that will include purchase details and UPS tracking number(s).
  • Your order will include a packing list so you may easily inventory and confirm receipt of all items.
  • For information on product returns, damage claims or wrong products received please see our Product Return Information Page.
    E-mail Ordering
  • Using this method will let you send a copy of your complete shopping cart and an ordering form to any E-mail address you choose.
  • This method DOES NOT send us any information!
  • You may use this information to call in your order or E-mail it to us then call with payment information. Please DO NOT use E-mail to send credit card information to us. E-mail is NOT SECURE and even though very unlikely, it could be intercepted and read by someone else.
  • Once you place your order with us, the process is the same as detailed above in "Secure Server" Ordering.
    Fax Ordering
  • This method features a pre-formatted page for you to use to complete all payment and shipping information. This page also shows the complete contents of your shopping cart. Just fill in the information and fax it to us at 702-568-7001. Once the order has been placed with us, the process is the same as detailed in "Secure Server Ordering".



Billing Information
    Billing Method
  • All billing is done through Star Nursery, Inc. That is the billing name you will see on your credit card statement.
  • We don’t charge any handling or processing fees. The order total shown for your shopping cart is the only amount you pay. If something is wrong with the amount shown, we will contact you before any billing is done.
  • For questions about billing, E-mail is the best contact method. You may also call us during normal business hours (8 AM - 4PM, Pacific Time, Monday through Friday) at 702-568-7000.
  • The use of E-mail allows us to research your question and provide a detailed and accurate answer. We may reply via E-mail or by phone.



Security
    Secure Ordering
  • Our secure server uses the most up-to-date methods available and is a standard for the industry today. When entering our secure server to place an online order, you may view our security certificate to confirm that you are connected to our server. The certificate is issued to Star Nursry, Inc. Las Vegas, NV. All information is encrypted.
    In-house Security
  • All personal and payment information is only available to a select and small group of employees. Any printed material with personal or payment information is kept in locked cabinets. All printed personal or payment information is shredded before disposal.

    Ordering FAQ's
  • I want to order online but call in my credit card number. How do I do it?
    Simple! When filling in your payment information, just place XXX in the box where a credit card is required. In the free-form text box for shipping instructions, tell us you’ll be calling with payment information. This will allow acceptance of the order form. If this box is left blank, the order will not be accepted and the page will just keep reappearing.
  • I keep submitting the secure order form and it just keeps reappearing-what’s wrong?
    You’re just missing some required information. Check the form again and make sure something is in each text box marked by a red asterisk (*).
  • I like to pay by check. How do I do it?
    Fill your cart with the products you want to purchase and click on any Go to Checkout link. This will display 3 methods of ordering. Click on the Fax method. Your wagon will now be displayed with a preformatted form for ordering information. Print this page, fill in the information, make a check payable to Star Nursery, Inc. and mail it to the address listed on your form. Once we receive your form and check, we’ll verify the check and process your order. You will receive a shipping confirmation E-mail when we ship your order.
  • I placed an order but I want to change something. How can I do it?
    Contact us ASAP so we won’t process and ship your order. Rest assured that we’ll do everything possible to make any changes you like as long as your order hasn’t shipped. The best way to contact us is E-mail. Be sure to include your name and phone number. Tell us what you would like to be done so we can get a head start on the proper course of action. Some requests are simple and we can do them without contacting you. If the request is complicated, we will contact you to resolve any questions so your order will be processed correctly.
  • I’m new at this Internet stuff. How can I be sure that my order really went through?
    Send us an E-mail and ask! We will be happy to check and let you know. Hot Tip: If you book marked our site, use it to come back and see if there is anything in your wagon. If there are items in the wagon then the order did not go through. Hey, check with us anyway-our job is to help you!
    Shopping Wagon FAQ's
  • Why don’t I have freight costs shown in my wagon?
    There are some limitations to the shopping wagon freight function. Here’s a list of possible reasons and why they happen:
    1. 150 lb. maximum weight limit
      If your total order weighs more than 150 pounds the UPS freight calculator is unable to know that it will ship in multiple boxes. Go ahead and place the order. We will figure the freight cost and contact you BEFORE processing your order. You will have no obligation to purchase the items so don’t hesitate to let us find the freight cost for you.
    2. Data exchange unavailable
      Our shipping cost calculations depend on a connection directly with UPS. If there is a problem with connection to UPS or the UPS site is unavailable, then the shipping cannot be calculated. You may try again later or send in your order as explained above.
    3. Zip Code is invalid
      We all make mistakes! Just click on the Change Shipping Method when your wagon is displayed and re-enter the zip code.
  • I just added an item and it’s not listed in the wagon. What’s up?
    Look closely. When a new item is added to the wagon and the new contents are displayed, the new item is always at the bottom of the list, even below the freight and tax. The wagon is displayed in a format where you can modify any of the item quantities or delete items completely. Just click on the Modify Wagon button and the freight will be updated along with any wagon content changes made. The new item will now be displayed in the same group as all the other items.
  • I just added an item and the shipping cost stayed the same. What happened?
    There are 2 reasons. First, each time an item is added you are shown a page on which you may modify your item quantities or delete items completely. This is done so that you can delete an item if you want it to be replaced by the item you’re adding. This page will not show an updated shipping cost. Second, it the item added is lightweight it may not add to the shipping cost. This cost is calculated on a weight basis and the cost will only change for each additional pound of weight. If the added item is less than a pound, it may not add enough weight to move your freight costs to the next higher level.
  • How do I delete an item from my wagon?
    Use the Make Changes to Wagon link and put a zero in the quantity box. Then click on the Modify Wagon button. The item is now deleted and the freight cost recalculated.
  • How can I save my wagon until my next visit?
    It’s easy! Go to any page and in Netscape, add it as a bookmark. In Internet Explorer, add it as a favorite. Leave our site and then use the bookmark or favorite function to return to the site. The complete wagon will be there, just as you left it. Wagons are saved for 72 hours from the last time they were used. No cookies or registration is required!
  • Why does my freight cost seem to be so high?
    Be sure you check the weight of each item and the shipping method you selected. Total weight is how freight cost is calculated. One real heavy item can increase the freight cost quite a bit. UPS ground service is the least expensive method of shipping and each step up to 3rd Day, 2d Day and so on will increase the freight cost very quickly. Try changing your shipping method. When you do, all the different methods will be listed and you can see the cost for each. You can then choose the method most suited to your needs and your pocketbook!
  • I don’t think the shipping cost is correct. How can I check it?
    Call us and we’ll check it with you, or finish your shopping and place the order through the secure server. In the text box for credit card number, enter XXX, then use the free-form text box for additional shipping instructions to tell us that you want the shipping cost checked before we process your order. We’ll check it out and contact you with the results. You have absolutely no commitment to purchase the items. If you decide to purchase the items after reviewing the information we’ve given you, you can then give us your credit card information.
