Product Description
These peat pots and pellets are perfect for growing all kinds of seedlings and cuttings. Sphagnum peat moss provides growing benefits unlike any other products by encouraging strong root development and faster more robust growth. Peat pots, strips and pellets help nurture young plants by allowing their delicate roots to grow right through the soft, natural pot walls. They give a twofold benefit. First, you can visually see when the plants are ready to be transplanted and second, you can transplant them, undisturbed, directly into the garden, pot and all.

How To Use Tips
Pre-moisten seed starting mix to use in your peat pots. When moist, this mix will expand to twice its current volume or more. A good way to make this happen is to put 1/3 to 1/2 the bag in a waterproof container or plastic bag. Add 2 cups of warm water and let sit over night. Squeeze out excess water the next day. Add mix to your peat pots, mini greenhouse, egg cartons or other holders then sow your seeds. Cover seeds with mix according to seed packet instructions. Use your mini greenhouse cover, or cover other containers with plastic wrap and place in a shaded area with stable temperatures, preferably between 60-70 degrees. When seedlings sprout and reach the cover, remove it and keep mixture moist. When seedling has 2 complete sets of leaves, put in a sunny window. Turn greenhouse or container every couple of days as seedlings will lean towards the sun. As outdoor temperatures improve, place the seedlings on the patio for increasing amounts of time each day to "harden them off." When roots grow through bottom of the pot or container, its time to plant your seedlings in the garden or transplant them to a larger pot.
