Amaze is the premier weed and grass preventer for all ornamental applications. Sprinkle right over the top of your flowers and plants for up to 4 months control! A hand-held spreader is an easy, inexpensive and fast way to apply it. Be sure to do all your cultivating before using Amaze. If you work the soil afterwards, you'll break the soil bond formed by the herbicide and make it ineffective. While the label says this product can be used for weed control in some grass lawns, the list of turf grass precautions makes it tough to do right. We recommend use of Portrait instead. How To Use Tips
Regular use of pre-emergents lessens the need to use weed and grass killers (post-emergents) to get rid of actively growing plants. For most brands, raking, cultivating and aerating should be done before the pre-emergent is applied. If you do these things after application, you run the risk of opening the soil and allowing existing seeds to sprout. Normal activities like mowing, fertilizing and foot traffic will not decrease effectiveness. Using a spreader is the best way to apply granular pre-emergents while a hose-end sprayer, tank sprayer or watering can works fine with liquid brands.
